Hello reader! Today I´m going to talk about dreams….

The word “dream” has two different meanings. One of them is the images that you see while you are asleep; the second meaning is an idea or a very far wish (for example dream with a world in peace).

In psychology, specifically in psychoanalysis, the interpretation of the dreams are very important because dreams can show things like memories or emotions that the dreamer repress for different reasons (that can be conscious or unconscious).

I believe in the power of dreams. A person can´t use all of his brain so is impossible say with security that the brain can´t do something mystic when we are sleeping. For some persons maybe this is a stupid thing. But I have experiences that make me question for the real meaning of dreams.

Anyway, the dreams are an important thing for everybody. In the world of painting exist the “surrealism” is an art current (my favorite) that transform the dreams in piece of art. My favorite artist in this current is the wild Salvador Dali. Now I let you some images of his paintings.   

Personality

Wellcome again dear reader! This time I am going to talk about subjects.

On this career I study many subjects, but one of my favorites is “Psychology of personality”. I like this subject because I learned a lot of interesting theories of psychoanalysis and humanist theories too.

When I was at the school I studied this topics and I thing that consider the unconscious like a important part of the human mind is a revolutionary idea (in case of psychoanalisis), because on this time the people thought that the only way to understand the human actions is by the body, not the mind. So, Sigmund Freud (father of psychoanalisis) changed this conception with his theories.

Also I studied the humanist theories. They gave more relevance to the patient. Before these news ideas, the patient is only the guy with a mental ill and the therapist is who does all the work to back him to a “normal” state. But they gave to the patient an active role, so now he work with the therapist hand by hand.    

On “Psychology of personality” I can study properly all of this themes and more, I like it a lot               

My little boy

This is my favorite photograph. Everyone can see a common mouse with red eyes but I see my little angel. He is Roquefort, my little pet, my little fighter, my partner.

My mother took this photo on 2011 in an ordinary day when he was in my hands. This photograph is my profile photo on facebook (an important thing for me) all my friends can see it on this web site.

Roquefort lived in a laboratory, I don´t know anything about the experiments makes on this place. The pro-animals people rescued 9 mice. I saw Roquefort on internet and I adopted him.

I put him this name, is a kind of cheese, I think it was very funny that a mouse have a cheese name. He lives with me 2 happy years. He died on January and I miss him so much.

This photo can make me remember him but not the time when he was sick. I can remember when he ran all over my house. When he was happy and healthy. 

I have a lot of photographs about Roquefort but this is definitely my favorite.    

Game over

Welcome again reader! On this post I will talk about videogames oh yeah! I like videogames because I play it since I was a little child. I don´t have brothers or sisters so the games can make me have a lot of fun for my own.

I don´t have a favorite genre of games, but I don`t like the games of war and football. I like follow a story and be part of it with my character. One epic game that I love is “mortal kombat”

Is an old game (1992) You select a character and fight with the opponent. Is too boldly for little childs but is addictive.

“The sims” is totally different, this game is a simulator. You create a character and live his life, you controlled all the actions like eat, or read a book etc. You can also get a relationship and have a family.

“Mario kart” is another game that I like. This is a race game. You can select a character of the Mario`s saga and competed on a race with cars on different places.

Well, I play this games (and others) very frequently. The problem is that the videogames can make that one hour can feel like one second.  

Piece of technology

Hi reader! Now is time to talk about technology. Personally I not an expert but I have to admit that my Ipad is a wonderful thing and I love it.

The Ipad is a line of tablets created by Apple. Is a kind of computer with touch system (don’t need buttons to use it, only your fingers on the screen). This artifact can connect to internet and do a lot of things; it all depends on the applications installed.

My mother give me my own Ipad for Christmas a couple of years ago. Now I draw on it, send mails, watch videos, listen to music, search information, read Ibooks (virtual books) and play. I play a lot of games on this tablet; my favorite is “plants v/s zombies”.

I use my Ipad every day, because is small and portable. I can live without a notbook or a regular computer because this tablet can do the things that I want on this kind of artifacts. Is my little baby and I can’t live without my Ipad 

Draco, I watch you every night

Hello again reader! Now it  is time to talk about movies. I really love to go to the cinema and spend hours and hours watching movies (on the TV too!) because they take you to another reality for a while and I can feel different emotions. Movies are a kind of magic.
I like any types of movies. I love animated movies like "Nightmare before Christmas", marvel´s movies like "The avengers", movies about other centuries like "Amadeus", horror movies like "Saw". But now I want to talk about a very special movie for me: Dragon heart.

         
Dragon heart was made as 1996 (when I was 3 years old) directed by Rob Cohen, it was nominated for the academy awards for best visual effects, also this movie was nominated to the Oscars for visual effects.

This movie is a beautiful story about the last dragon named Draco,  and about  Bowen (actor: Dennis Quaid) who is a dragon hunter. The destiny wanted to two enemies to  make a nice friendship. Bowen shows his real profession, he is a knight, he was served to the crown but the king turns into a bad and cruel person so, now it  is  Bowen and Draco´s job to defeat him. Also Draco has a dream, when he dies, he wants to transform into a constellation. This is the greatest honor for any dragon because this is the way to show that his life was important.
After the fight with the king, Draco gives his life for the victory and finally his dream comes true. All his friends and Bowen can see him in the sky every night.

I like this movie because when I was five years old I saw it all the time. It is strange that a kid doesn´t get bored with that type of movie but I fell in love with Draco and his history. That love still exists and every time that this movie is transmitted on the TV it is like the first time.

              

Daddy Freud!!!

Hello reader! Let me tell you that I´m a Psychology student. Six years ago I made that decision and I say thanks for this to one man... Sigmund Freud 

He was born in Austria and is considered the father of psychoanalysis. I don´t know much about his biography but I know Freud was one of the most recognized thinkers of the twentieth century. 

I don´t consider myself a psychoanalysis  fanatic but I admire Freud because he helped me, he showed me that psychology is a good and interesting career. When I was in the school, I didn´t have any idea about my future an then in philosophy the teacher explained to  us about Freud and his work. The idea that the human behavior can be explained with his theories of unconscious, something that we can´t control,  was amazing! after that I wanted to learn more about this and finally I fell in love with that world. 

That´s why I admire Freud, because alive or dead... does´t matter, he´s still touching people, like me
